Shopify was Established in 2006 by Tobias Lütke and Scott Lake right after aiming to open up Snowdevil, an online shop for snowboarding products. Dissatisfied with the prevailing e-commerce merchandise in the marketplace, Lütke, a computer programmer by trade, as an alternative crafted his individual. To allow for equitable entry to all people,
